Govt orders action against hoarders
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Food Qalandar Khan Lodhi on Thursday issued directives to the Food Department to take strict action against hoarders, profiteers and adulterators of food items in the province.
The minister issued the directives while chairing an intra-departmental meeting which was attended by Secretary Food Nisar Ahmad and other officials. A detailed discussion was held on the provision of hygienic food items to the public, eradication of artificial price hike and hoarding of food items. The minister directed the food officers for ensuring availability of wheat flour in proportion to the wheat quota given to flourmills on daily basis and ordered stern actions against those flour mill owners who were involved in sell and purchase of government wheat.
