Umpire Aleem Dar has stood in his 129th Test match, breaking the record of West Indies famous Steve Bucknor, whose record stood at 128 test matches. Dar is currently adjudicating the Test between Australia and New Zealand in Perth, Australia.
Another feather in his cap is in the offing as he has stood in 207 ODIs – just two matches behind the world record of 209 matches. Born on June 6, 1968, Dar is a member of the International Cricket Council’s Elite Panel and is respected by most of the cricket player’s fraternity.
