LAHORE:The Punjab government Wednesday approved three development schemes of various sectors at an estimated cost of Rs6.719 billion.
These schemes were approved in the 28th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2019-20 presided over by Planning and Development Board (P&D) Chairman Hamid Yaqoob Sheikh.
Provincial Secretary P&D Imran Sikandar Baloch, all P&D members, provincial secretaries of the departments concerned, Assistant Chief Coordination Syed Naveed Iqbal, Planning Officer Coordination Muhammad Rashid and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments also attended the meeting.
The approved development schemes included Construction of Building of University of Jhang at the cost of Rs999.428 million, Lahore Water and Waste Water Management Project – (Construction of New Syphon on River Ravi, Intake Structure, Gates and Raw Water Channel) at the cost of Rs4.487 billion and Rehabilitation / Improvement of Sewerage System, Jhang Phase-I at the cost of Rs1.232 billion.
