Lawyers in KP boycott courts

PESHAWAR: The lawyers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday stayed away from courts to protest the amendments to civil nature cases.
The lawyers on the call of Peshawar High Court Bar Association and other bodies observed the strike throughout the province. The lawyers did not appear in the PHC and other courts after which the cases had to be adjourned.
The lawyers have rejected recent amendments by the government and vowed to resist it at all costs. The lawyers termed the amendments an act in haste and vowed to continue the protest till the acceptance of the demand.
