LAHORE: A water filtration facility, rehabilitated with the help of PepsiCo, the international beverage maker, was inaugurated here on Friday.
A statement issued the beverage company said the filtration plant was switched on by Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal, Minister of Industries, Commerce and Investment Punjab. The refurbishment was facilitated by the international non-governmental organisation, WaterAid, with the financial support from PepsiCo. It is expected that thousands of people from a number of neighbourhoods of Lahore will directly benefit from the new facility.
