Minor killed by father, uncle
LAHORE:A five-month-old baby girl was killed by her father and uncle in the limits of Factory Area police on Wednesday.
The victim was identified as Beenish, daughter of Naveed. It was reported that the accused Naveed along with his uncle Sunny Pitrass, under the influence of liquor, threw his baby girl from the rooftop of the house, resulting into her instant death. Police shifted the body to morgue and registered a case against Naveed and his uncle on the complaint of the baby's mother.
hit to death: A seven-year-old boy was killed by a speeding car on Ring Road near Harbanspura on Wednesday.
The boy, yet to be identified, was crossing the road when a rashly-driven car hit him, as a result, he received fatal injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he died. Body was shifted to morgue.
Man kills self: A 55-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope in the limits of Chuhng police on Wednesday. The victim was identified as Muhammad Saeed of Sher Shah Colony Chuhng. Reason behind the suicide was yet to be established. Police shifted the body to morgue.
accidents: The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) responded to 973 road traffic accidents in all 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. In these accidents, six people died, whereas 1,046 were injured.
Out of which, 624 people were seriously injured who were shifted different hospitals. Whereas, 422 minor injured victims were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams.
certificates: Police are providing welfare oriented services to citizens along with curbing crimes. Character certificate branch of Lahore police issued 5,622 certificates to citizens. Accordingly, 3,198 character certificate and 2,424 verification certificates were issued during months of November. Around 639 applications were submitted by the citizens at Khidmat centre of DIG Operations office, 2,471 at facilitation centre of Gulberg, 948 at Iqbal Town, 173 at Mobile Police Khidmat Markaz, 1018 at Greater Iqbal Park, 209 at Town Hall where as 164 applications were submitted at facilitation centre of Arfa Karim Tower.
