Hospital worker dies in fight with colleague

LAHORE:An employee of Lahore General Hospital (LGH) lost life during a scuffle with his colleague on a minor issue on Monday.

Police removed the body to morgue. The victim has been identified as Naveed, a sweeper, and was deputed in Punjab Institute of Neuro Sciences. Two colleagues scuffled with each other over a petty issue which turned violent. Accused Amin pushed him with force. As a result, he received head injury and died on the spot. Amin fled the scene. Police reached the scene and collected evidence. Police would register case on receiving application.

outlaws arrested: Police (Sadar Division) in its crackdown against the criminals arrested 184 criminals and recovered 26 pistols, 2 rifles, 3 guns, bullets, more than 5-kg charas and 319 bottles of liquor.

SP Sadar Division Syed Ghazanfar Ali had directed the DSPs and SHOs concerned to take strict action against criminal gangs. Accordingly Sadar Division Police busted 7 gangs and arrested its 14 members along with recoveries worth 13 lakh and 96 thousands rupees from them. Police also recovered thousands of rupees from the criminals in its successful action against gamblers.

Moreover, 84 proclaimed and court offenders of A&B categories in cases of theft, cheque dishonour fraud and other crimes were arrested. Sadar Division Police also arrested 47 criminals for violating Kite Flying, One Wheeling and Rental Acts.
