Armed forces institute’s delegates visit Rescue HQ

LAHORE:A delegation from Armed Forces Post Graduate Medical Institute (AFPGMI), Rawalpindi, led by commandant of the institute visited the Rescue Headquarters and Emergency Services Academy here on Friday.

The delegates met with the Emergency Services Academy registrar and discussed with him the matters of mutual interest as well the steps for improvement in emergency response, monitoring, paramedic trainings, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and healthcare services in Punjab.

The delegation comprising 34 senior officers was briefed that Rescue 1122 had rescued over 7.6 million victims of emergencies while maintaining its response time of on an average of seven minutes since it inception.

Maj-General Muhammad Aleem lauded the services of Rescue 1122 and its management for establishment of a progressive and professional institution for public safety. The delegation appreciated the role of Punjab Emergency Service in provision of timely emergency services to the citizens of the Punjab.
