ISLAMABAD: The ruling PTI has exerted pressure on the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Justice (R) Sardar Raza in the light of latest development in connection with the foreign funding case.
The CEC in a recent meeting with the opposition leaders pledged that the Election Commission will hold the case hearings on a daily basis after the report of Scrutiny Committee.
Speaking in Parliament on Monday, PTI leader and Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Azam Swati said, “Thanks God, we will get rid of the Chief Election Commissioner ardar Raza.” Senator Shabli Faraz said on the opposition's protest the CEC had issued directions. He said there was nothing in the foreign funding case and the opposition would get nothing from it.
