LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on Sunday strongly responded to the opposition’s political strategy against the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and said no plans B or C would work in Pakistan.

Only the plan pertaining to the country’s prosperity and the welfare of the general public will work, he said, adding that it was the only plan of the PTI.

Those with plans A, B or C want to resist the development of the country, he said, adding the patriotic people had been indifferent to the march. Usman Buzdar said that the whole nation had come to know that the agenda of the demonstrators was to secure power only for the protection of their personal interests.

uplift projects: Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Sunday directed the authorities concerned to complete all the development projects within the stipulated time period and warned that no negligence in this regard would be tolerated.

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that no compromise would be made on the quality of development projects, adding that he would personally monitor progress on the development projects and would not allow anyone to interfere in the progress of the backward areas.

Progress and prosperity is an inherent right of the people belonging to the backward areas and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is giving that right to people living in far-flung areas, concluded Usman Buzdar.

takes notice: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has expressed his indignation at the incidents of kite flying in the provincial capital.

Taking notice of an injury to a child due to a kite string in Wahdat Colony, the CM sought a report from the CCPO.

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar directed the authorities concerned to take stern action against the violators of the ban imposed on kite flying.

Despite issuance of clear instructions, the non-implementation of the ban on kite flying amounts to the negligence of the officials concerned, he said. Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar directed police officers to visit the field in order to prevent kite flying, adding, "Such incidents would never be tolerated."

He directed the department concerned to provide best medical treatment facilities to the injured child.

Violence against women: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has said that making effective laws to pre-empt violence against women is part of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government agenda. In his message on the International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women, he said that violence against women was not only an inhuman act but also a legal offence. Injustice done to any women on the basis of gender is tantamount to cruelty, he said, adding that by empowering women and granting them equal rights could help eradicate such a social vice, the CM added.

Religion Islam has granted women all rights, he added.

The chief minister said that for providing prompt justice and redressing grievances of women, a state-of-the-art centre had been working in Multan and facilities of police, prosecution, medical and forensic were available under one roof at the centre.

The scope of such centres would be expanded to the whole province, he said.

Usman Buzdar said the International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women provided an opportunity for creating awareness among people about providing all opportunities to women to lead a respectable and violence-free life.
