Driver dies as trailer overturns

A 27-year-old driver was killed while his helper sustained injuries when his trailer overturned near Babu Sabu in the Sherakot police limits on Wednesday.

The injured victim was removed to hospital. The driver has been identified as Muhammad Sultan and injured man as Tahir. The driver was trying to take a U-turn when the trailer overturned.

He suffered injuries and died while his co-worker suffered multiple injuries. Police handed over to the body to his family. Meanwhile, a 24-year-old man was killed by a van when he was crossing a road in the Nishtar Colony police area. The victim has been identified as Ehsan.

Dies of burns: A 35-year-old man who had set himself ablaze in protest at Faisal Chowk succumbed to his burns at Mayo Hospital on Wednesday. The victim has been identified as Sunny Masih, a resident of Basti Syedan Shah.

Man dies: A 30-year-old man died under ambiguous circumstances in the Sundar police area on Wednesday. The victim has been identified as Umar, a resident of Sundar.
