ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) says the final date of filing income tax returns and wealth tax statement will not be extended beyond November 30.
The FBR Chief Commissioner Yousaf Memon told this correspondent on Tuesday that the officials of chambers of commerce, power distribution companies, universities, hospitals, educational institutions and private institutions who pay monthly income tax are also bound to file annual income tax return and wealth tax statement. He said the tax return filers will get certain incentives. He said the names of return filers will be included in active tax payers list and they will get 50 percent exemption from withholding tax next year.
