Islamabad: An exhibition of ‘Arjumand Painting Award 2019’ will be inaugurated today (Monday) at Gallery6 at 5 pm.
Artists between the ages of twenty five to forty years are contesting this national award. The awards were instituted by Gallery 6 in 2015 as the first art award presented by any private gallery in the country at the national level. The aim of the award is to emphasize the importance of classical painting among new, emerging and recently established artists. Moreover, it aims to fill the void for appreciation and recognition of emerging painters. The exhibition is being held as a component of Islamabad Art Festival 2019 and will continue till November 30th from 11am till 7pm.
