LAHORE
The operation against the criminals should also be launched in Punjab like Sindh if Shahbaz Sharif shall stand on the roof of his Raiwind Palace then he listens to the cries of affected people of Kasur.
These views were expressed by Pakistan Muslim League (PML) leaders Haleem Adil Sheikh, Dr Azeemuddin Lakhvi and Mian Munir, while talking to media after expressing heartfelt sympathies with the affected families of village Hussain Khan Wala in district Kasur on Wednesday. PML Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh presented traditional Ajraks to the parents of the affected children. According to a press release issued on Wednesday, Haleem Adil Sheikh said that according to the reports of welfare organizations, child abuse cases were much higher in Punjab than other provinces. Is this the good governance of so-called Khadam-e-A’ala that during the tenure of Shahbaz Sharif, about 2,842 children were abused and if the provincial rulers had taken immediate notice of the first child abuse incident then so many incidents would not have happened in just one village alone. Dr Azeemuddin Zahid Lakhvi said that Ch Pervaiz Elahi had issued direction from abroad that the affected families be assured that they were not alone as the PML was with the oppressed people and the party leadership would soon visit the village. He said taking immediate notice of the incidents Ch Shujaat Hussain had demanded that culprits be made example for others and hanged publicly.
Dr Lakhvi said the Army Chief should take notice of these tragic occurrences and the cases be tried in the military courts because these fell in the category of worst terrorism. He said Ch Pervaiz Elahi during his tenure had taken practical steps for protection of children and established the Child Protection Bureau but Shahbaz Sharif government had rendered it ineffective. He demanded that measures taken by Ch Pervaiz Elahi should immediately be restored.
