School, hospital to remain under CDA

Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) will continue to hold administration of the CDA Model School and CDA Capital Hospital with the inception of local bodies system in the federal capital.
A senior official of CDA told 'The News' on Friday that both the facilities are meant for the CDA employees and would not be handed over to the local government of Islamabad.
“CDA School will remain with CDA and so will the CDA Hospital as they are for employees and not public or municipal services,” he said.
The official, however, said that services like municipal administration and environment would be assigned to the local government. “We will also continue to deal with planning, development estate responsibilities,” he said. It may be pointed out that CDA Model School is one of the best educational institutions of Islamabad and has been producing best results at the secondary school examinations since its start in 1980s.
