Pakistan Peoples Party’s Punjab Assembly ticket holder Rana Abbas Ali Khan and 30 other office-bearers on Tuesday announced joining Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in a meeting with party’s Punjab Organiser Chaudhary Mohammad Sarwar.
PPP ticket-holder from Sheikhupura, Sharaqpur tehsil President Rana Riasat Ali Khan, former Nazims Ch Sabir Husain Bhatti, Saeed Shah, Muhammad Yaqoob Butt, Munir Dogar, Hafiz Usman, former councillors Wasif Shah, Waqar Shah, Atif Kamboh, Abdul Wali Khan, Farooqabad Anjuman Tajraan Chairman Ahmed Maqbool Khan and others met PTI Punjab Organiser Chaudhary Sarwar at his office and expressed confidence in the leadership of party Chairman Imran Khan.
Addressing the delegation, Chaudhary Sarwar said the PPP’s corruption and looting spree had devastated the party and the PTI was the only hope for the people to look for progress and prosperity. He said the political workers and leaders were leaving their old parties and joining the PTI. He said the PTI would be fully prepared to contest the upcoming local body elections with a bang.
He stressed that the PTI leaders and workers should work hard day in and day out to wipe out the corruption and end loadshedding, price-hike and joblessness from the country. Chaudhray Sarwar said the PML-N and PPP gave nothing to the people except loadshedding, price-hike and joblessness therefore masses were rejecting these parties at all the forums. He said the people were supporting the PTI policies and it would win the local body elections.
