Nazia Bano, a resident of Madina Town, Sanam Chowk, Khanna Dak, Islamabad, has appealed to Islamabad Electric Supply Company (Iesco) to address the issue of inflated bills to alleviate the miseries of poor consumers who are receiving these bills without any justification.
Nazia Bano, who is living in a single room house with her three kids and a husband, received a bill of Rs61,012 for the month of June. The bill reference number is 05141171053702R.
The poor lady, while talking to this scribe, said that she is living in a small rented house with her three kids and husband who is a taxi driver. She said she was still shocked after getting Rs61,012 bill, as her pervious electricity bills were hardly around Rs1,000.
Nazia Bano said that her family does not use heavy electronic appliances but received such an inflated bill, which was beyond her comprehension.
She said that she has visited the office of Iesco but nobody listened to her problem and help her. “I am already facing very hard time because of high inflation and our family is living hand to mouth,” she added.
Nazia Bano has requested the high officials of Iesco to take notice of this injustice and help correct her electricity bill. She could be contacted on 0314-5202763 for any queries.
