Zardari’s mind

This refers to the news report, ‘My list will expose many generals, warns Zardari’ (June 17). The fact is that relations between the PPP and the army have never been smooth ever since the days of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. Time and again the PPP leadership has confronted the military establishment because of their political and ideological differences.
One motive for Zardari’s outburst is to hide the abject failure to deliver on his promises and tackle issues of governance seriously in Sindh. It is time the PPP mended its ways. That said, Zardari’s tirade against the military has some genuine concerns that need to be addressed and should be removed.
