It is baffling why (some) of our print media provides an ‘open and unchecked’ access to Indians under readers comments on their websites. Some regular Indians – who appear to be hired hands – propagate a negative campaign against us. They are normally the first to comment and hardly miss an opportunity to malign and lace their views with negative comments about Pakistan, its people and armed forces.
On the other side, the media in India censors any or all comments (from across the border) and shows no such impunity. Our media should tailor its online moderating policy to allow balanced comments and healthy debate but certainly not to those mocking or demeaning us.
