Fazl warns PTI govt on 18th Amendment
SUKKUR: Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Sunday warned the PTI government not to do adventure of revising the 18th Amendment, a unanimously passed bill by the-then political parties, which would be considered an attack on the Constitution of Pakistan.
Talking to media persons in Kandhkot, Maulana Fazl said the 18th Amendment basically empowered the provinces and conferred autonomy on them, allowing them to deal with provincial affairs according to their situations. He suggested to the PTI to discuss all issues with the opposition to come up on a conclusion but said he will not accept any revision in the 18th Amendment.

Fazl said the JUI-F will not support the PTI government over army courts and in the presence of judicial activism, the country has no need of courts outside of judicial system. He said his party did not vote for the army courts while they were being formed.
The JUI-F chief said Imran Khan’s government brought many things, including tsunami of soaring inflation, unemployment, loans and poor economic situation in the country, and it was the right time to get rid of the selected government. He said the country was on the verge of war with India while the government was sending love letters to the Indian PM Modi.
