Mayor Wasim Akhtar has directed the officials concerned to invite tenders for the repair and renovation of bridges, flyovers and underpasses in Karachi.
The joints of the Jinnah and Keamari flyovers should be repaired and cemented, he said, while presiding over a meeting at his office on Friday. The mayor directed the officials to submit a comprehensive report to him about the flyovers and underpasses.
He said that the Jinnah Flyover was very important as heavy goods trucks of the KPA used it. He said its repairs be carried out on a priority basis. Just after the tenders were approved, work should be started, he added.
