Bilawal should not have issued improper statement: Fawad
KARACHI: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry said that the inappropriate statement which PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had given, should not have been issued as his selection of words was not appropriate. Fawad expressed these views while talking to host Saleem Safi in his show ‘Jirga’ on Saturday. He said that neither Bilawal is traitor nor Nawaz is ‘yar’ (friend) of Modi as they all are Pakistanis. He said that Bilawal Bhutto is an important leader of Pakistan and he could not be declared traitor. He said that there is difference between political movement and save papa movement.
He said that there is no issue of treason in the country but there must be issue of extremism in Pakistan. He said this issue is not related to Pakistan but is problem of the whole Muslim world.
Fawad Chaudhry said that as far as treason is concerned, this a political allegation such as PML-N say whatever Pervez Musharraf did was treason and then coming to Bilawal what he does is treason and Imran is an agent of Jews’ lobby, but these all things are improper. He said that statement issued by Bilawal should not have been given as the selection of words was not suitable.
Fawad said whenever they had staged protest, allegation of terrorism was leveled against them. He said that dharna was a political movement while PPP became angry over question of Rs5,000 billion corruption. He said that Aleema Khan had given answers of all questions regarding his wealth.
While answering a question he said if long march was wrong, Tehreek-e-Nijat and dharna were incorrect, every political campaign is wrong in the country.
