CCTV cameras to be installed at ‘fard’ issuing sections
Rawalpindi: The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Rawalpindi Muhammad Ali Randhawa on Friday has directed Land Revenue Directors (LRDs) to install CCTV cameras linking directly with the DC office to monitor all activities of staff members in Rawat and Rawalpindi Tehsil computer centers.
The DC has taken action on public complaints that thousands of people were facing difficulties in getting computerised ‘fard’ from Rawat and Rawalpindi Tehsil computer centers.
The DC has directed Land Revenue Director (LRD) and Assistant Land Revenue Director (ALRD) to sit together rather to sit in separate rooms to resolve public grievances on priority basis. He has directed to establish separate counters on first floor for old people. He has also ordered proper dress for computer section staff during duty hours. The DC, Rawalpindi has also directed to observe office timings strictly.
DC Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa told ‘The News’ that he would personally monitor activities of computer staff. He has also directed to comply token system which should be based on first come first go, he said.
