IMSciences arranges Spring Festival
PESHAWAR: The IMSciences arranged the Spring Festival to celebrate the Nowruz (Persian New Year) to help improve the Pak- Afghan relations.
The event was organized by Sikandar Khan Tangi, the faculty member at the institute and other faculty members. The collaboration was struck with the Higher Education Commission.
The chief guests were Bilal Ameri of the Culture and Education Department, and Noor Agha Behzad of the Administration Department of the Afghan Consulate.
Representatives from the HEC were present at the occasion, including Deputy Director Afsheen Akhtar.
The event was attended by the teachers and students of IMSciences as well as the Afghan students of other universities. The parents of a few Afghan students were there as well.
The national anthems of Pakistan and Afghanistan were played. The entire festival was packed with powerful performances by the students of the IMSciences with the aim to promote love and peace among the two nations.
In order to celebrate the cultural festival of Nowruz, the students belonging to Afghanistan, Chitral and Gilgit Baltistan entertained the audience with a variety of musical and dance performances that exhibited their respective cultures.
The crux of the speeches by the different guests was related to improving the friendship between Pakistan and Afghanistan through gestures of love and peace.
Director IMSciences, Dr Muhammad Mohsin Khan, Deputy Director Dr Iftikhar-ul-Amin and the Joint Director Dr Usman Ghani were acknowledged for the effort which made it possible to conduct this event.
