KARACHI: A man was gunned down in the Old Golimar area by the firing of hitherto unidentified persons on Sunday, said police officials.
The police said that the incident took place at Jadgal Para in the Old Golimar area, which falls in the jurisdiction of the Pak Colony police station.
The officials said that the man was shot multiple times and he died on the spot, adding that his body was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for completing the medico-legal formalities, following which it was handed over to his family for his funeral and burial.
SHO Haq Nawaz said the victim was identified as 35-year-old Hafeez, son of Taj, adding that he was a drug user as the police had found drugs on his person.
The officer said that the victim was apparently shot and killed over a personal dispute, adding that a case had been registered while further investigation into the case was under way.
