LAHORE: Palestine and Kashmir must be given freedom and their fundamental rights must be ensured according to UN conventions and charters. The PTI government will promote respect, love and harmony among the Pakistani citizens.

Malik Nasim Ahmed Khan, who has served as elected Reserve Member of the Swedish Parliament from Kalmar County, Member of the Kalmar city government, President of the International Social Democrats Wing, Kalmar and human rights activist and peace campaigner, expressed these views in an interview with The News.

He said the people of Palestine and Kashmir must be given freedom and their fundamental rights be ensured according to UN conventions and charters. He said plebiscite in Kashmir according to the UN conventions is the right of Kashmiri People.

He said establishing peace in the world by resolving disputes is the prime duty of the UN, and the world body must come forward to resolve Kashmir and Palestine issues on top priority. He said he had raised the voice of Kashmiri and Palestinian people on different platforms in Sweden and other countries.

He said “I will present now a positive and true picture of Pakistan. As Imran Khan has come to power, his government has started giving soft image of Pakistan in the comity of nations. I hope Pakistan under his leadership will become a minority-friendly country, which has opened Kartarpur border for assisting Sikh pilgrims to visit the birth place of their sacred guru, and the release of Aasia Bibi, are the two evidences of it.”

He said Imran government offered a strong peace gesture to India by unconditionally releasing the Indian fighter pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan who had entered Pakistani air space. He said the whole world lauded this step of Imran government.

Pakistani community residing in Sweden wants to invest in Pakistan. I hope under Imran Khan’s leadership every citizen of Pakistan will enjoy full rights as I enjoy in Sweden, he concluded.
