Tribute paid to Christians

LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Human Rights and Minority Affairs Ijaz Alam Augustine attended memorial services at Saint John Catholic Church and Christ Church at Yuhanabad.

During the special ceremonies, tributes were paid to the sacrifices rendered by religious minorities for the country over the years. The Pakistani Christians prayed for the progress of the country.

Addressing the participants, the provincial minister said the entire nation especially the whole Christian community could not forget March 15, 2015 when tragic incidents occurred at Yuhanabad. He said, “Today again on March 15, an incident happened in New Zealand and the entire Pakistani Christian community strongly condemns it.”
