Rawalpindi: The medical superintendent of District Headquarters Hospital, one of the three teaching hospitals in town Dr. Khalid Mehmood Randhawa has been transferred and posted as additional principal medical officer (APMO) at Benazir Bhutto Hospital on Monday.
Senior Medical Officer serving as Director Emergency at DHQ Hospital in BPS 18 Dr. Khalid Abbas Janjua has been given additional charge of the seat of MS DHQ Hospital.
According to a notification issued by the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department Punjab on Monday, Dr. Khalid Janjua has been entrusted the additional charge of the post of MS in addition to his duties till the arrival of regular incumbent with immediate effect.
It is important that Dr. Randhawa, a BPS-19 officer who has an M.Sc degree in Advanced Medical Administration from Quaid-i-Azam University apart from serving as MS DHQ Hospital had served at BBH for 18 years in various capacities, from medical officer to additional medical superintendent and as district health officer and executive district officer (health) Rawalpindi.
The reason for the posting of Dr. Randhawa has not been mentioned in the notification by the SH&ME Department.
