Politics on the field
A few days ago, the Indian cricket team wore army caps in the match against Australia to show solidarity with Pulwama attack victims. Cricket is a sport and it must be taken like that. Sportsmen are liked throughout the world. The main problem with this display is that only a week ago, Pakistan and India were on the brink of a nuclear war. All thanks to PM Imran Khan and the international community that the tensions were deescalated in a timely manner otherwise there would have been great losses on both sides.
But the act of Indian cricket players is being likened by many as an attempt to politicise a sport. I think it is totally against the code of conduct of the ICC. And Pakistan must raise this issue. It is hoped that the ICC will take appropriate action against Indian team for this conduct.
