Sports gala
LAHORE : Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) Principal Prof Muhammad Tayyab called upon the need to encourage sports activities especially in medical institutions.
Addressing the concluding ceremony of the seventh Annual Sports Gala of Ameer Uddin Medical College here at National Stadium, the PGMI principal lauded the performance of Ameer Uddin Medical College Sports Society for holding such extensive sports activities in which more than 400 students, doctors, nurses and other staff participated.
Prof Dr Irfan Mahboob, who was the guest of honour at the ceremony, said such healthy activities were much important for the students, and the sports gala should be linked with tree plantation and betterment of environment. He appreciated the performance and participation of the college students in the sports events. Prof Muhammad Tayyab and Prof Irfan Mahboob met the college students who participated in different sports activities and distributed prizes among position holders. At the sports gala of Ameer Uddin Medical College, Prof Agha Shabeer Ali, Prof Dr Farooq Afzal and Muhammed Umer Arif supervised the activities.
