Sports gala

Islamabad : After the conclusion of the academic year, a colourful annual sports gala began at Islamabad Model Postgraduate College, H-8 on Tuesday.

Students of the college are participating in different sports events, including 'Kabaddi', 100 meters and 400 meters race, long-jump, high-jump, disc throw, hurdle race, badminton and table tennis.

During a special ceremony, Principal Professor Mohammad Ali Siddiqui declared the games open.

A cricket match was played between teaching and non-teaching staff of the college which was won by teachers.

A sports management committee has been constituted with Professor Dr Waseem Ahmed Khan as chairman and Professor Tahir Bhatti and Professor Waseem Raja as members.
