LNG case: NAB summons Shahid Khaqan Abbasi tomorrow
ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on March 7 (tomorrow) to appear before the Combined Investigation Team (CIT) of the NAB Rawalpindi in LNG Terminal case along with the answers of the questionnaire.
The Combined Investigation Team of the NAB Rawalpindi probing the LNG Import and Terminal case had handed over questionnaire to Shahid Khaqan in third week of February and asked him to submit the reply by February 28. However, the CIT did not receive the reply yet and now he was sent reminder letter to appear before the CIT on March 7 along with the reply to questionnaire. Meanwhile, the Combined Investigation Team has also summoned Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed on March 15 to present the evidence on his complaint which he filed against Abbasi on LNG Import.
Earlier, the CIT of the NAB Rawalpindi had summoned Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed on February 27 to present the evidence in support of his complaint against Abbassi with regard to LNG Import and Terminal. But Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed did not appear and wrote a letter that he will be of country and could not able to appear before the NAB Rawalpindi and instead of February 27 he will appear before the investigation team on any other date. Now the CIT has summoned him again on March 15.
