Eight injured in Bara incidents

BARA: Eight persons were injured in separate incidents in Bara tehsil of Khyber district on Saturday, official and local sources said.

The sources said the house of one Naeem Khan collapsed in Akakhel area. Naeem Khan, his wife and son were sleeping in the room when its wall collapsed. The locals rushed to the site and pulled out the injured from the rubble. The injured were shifted to a hospital. Soon after the incident, Duty Commissioner Khyber Mahmood Aslam Wazir sent a team under supervision of the assistant commissioner Bara to the spot. The official provided tents, blankets and other necessary items to the family. In another incident, two rooms and a veranda of a house and wall of the government school collapsed in Jamrud tehsil. Meanwhile, four soldiers and a civilian were injured when a vehicle of the security forces hit a car on Mattani-Takhtabaig road in Shalobar. The injured were taken to the Combined Military Hospital in Peshawar, where their condition was stated to be stable.
