Governor asks transport owners to assist armed forces

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman on Thursday urged transporters to play their role for the sake of motherland and assist the armed forces in transportation of their equipment.

In a statement issued here, he said all the civil entities have been put on high alert and transporters should assist the armed forces in carrying equipment and other items from one place to another.

The governor said the whole nation was standing with the armed forces for the defence of the motherland, adding, “India should not consider the peace offer as our weakness and refrain from any aggression.”

Shah Farman said that the armed forces and the entire Pakistani nation were ready to foil the malicious designs of the evil forces and anti-state elements.

IMSciences inks MoU with children welfare bodyThe Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ran’aa Child Welfare Foundation for the scholarship programmes.

According to a press release, under the memorandum, Ran’aa Child Welfare Foundation will allocate funds to the IMSciences students each year which will be distributed among financially challenged but talented students.

In this year, Ran’aa foundation approved Rs 343,840 for five students of the IMSciences.

Director IMSciences, Dr Muhammad Mohsin Khan, informed the president of the Ran’aa Foundation, Mehvish Ali Khan that the institute runs a very comprehensive mechanism for financial assistance of students, through which over 1,500 students have been facilitated in 2017-18.

The amount of financial assistance during that year amounted to Rs128 million.

Dr Muhammad Mohsin Khan appreciated efforts by Mehvish Ali Khan for this noble cause and ensured her full support and cooperation in future matters under this valuable scholarship programme.
