Public service PTI’s core mission: CM

LAHORE : Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has adopted public service as its core mission and added that the PTI is working hard to solve the problems faced by the citizens.

According to a handout, he was talking to different delegations at his office here Monday. Previously, people were deceived in the name of development projects and basic problems of the citizens were ignored.

He pointed out that exhibitory projects were the main focus of the previous government and public problems were not solved, due to which, people had to suffer. He said a solid strategy has been devised to fulfil the basic needs of the people adding that public service agenda of Prime Minister Imran Khan would be fulfilled and no one would be allowed to hinder the journey of public service.

The chief minister said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government was working to provide best healthcare and educational facilities to the citizens and assured that deprived areas would be brought on a par with the developed cities. He said that development and prosperity were fundamental rights of every citizen.

“We are providing funds for early completion of on-going development schemes and the aspect of transparency and quality will also be ensured” he said. He said the government is deliberating upon developing new tourist spots as there is a tremendous potential of tourism in a number of spots situated in southern Punjab. It was the worst act on part of the past rulers to ignore tourism-worthy places, he said.

The promotion of tourism will increase employment opportunities which will result in people’s prosperity, he added. He said that uncleaned water was being drunk in southern Punjab even today while billions were wasted in the name of Saaf Pani Project. During my tenure, no backward area will remain deprived of development. I am a public chief minister and I feel happy amongst the people, he concluded.

report on collision: Usman Buzdar has sought a report about the collision of metro buses near Gajumata. He directed the Punjab Mass Transit Authority to submit a comprehensive report and action be initiated after identification of the persons responsible for the negligence. Necessary steps should be taken so that such incident may not occur again, he added. He directed to provide best healthcare facilities to the injured. The chief minister also expressed deep grief over the death of a female passenger and extended sympathies to the bereaved family. Usman Buzdar has sought a report from IG Police about the murder of three persons in the Baghbanpura area.

He has directed that culprits be arrested and legal action be initiated against them. He also extended sympathies to the bereaved families and assured that they would be provided justice at every cost.
