It’s an artificial world

In December 2018, President Arif Alvi took a revolutionary step by launching the Presidential Initiative for Artificial Intelligence and Computing (PIAIC) in the country. The mission of this venture is to reshape Pakistan by revolutionising education, research and business through the use of artificial intelligence. To make the best use of this wonderful initiative, the government must consider the following : First, a great amount of media coverage should be given to this programme to create awareness among the public. Second, the exact nature of the job in the AI field should be explained in simpler terms. Third, the age limit, if any, should be mentioned for prospective candidates.

As the course will be conducted online and through distance learning programme, it will be a good opportunity for women to study the course and earn a decent income. This is a rare opportunity that should be seized immediately. Elon Musk, the AI expert, says: “Whoever becomes the leader in AI will own the world”.
