Hate crimes

February 25, 2019

Following the Pulwama attack, Kashmiris have been facing an even greater amount of brutality and cruelty. Kashmiris who are living in India are also facing the wrath of charged Indian mobs who are attacking them and asking them to leave the country. If news reports are to be believed, around 11,000 Kashmiri students who are enrolled at various universities of India are now being threatened by Indian extremist groups. A Kashmiri journalist was also recently attacked by people who asked him to go back to Kashmir. Such hate crimes ought to be stopped. The criminal silence of the UN and other human rights agencies over such discrimination is questionable. Through such incidents, India is only showing its real face to the world. The show of secularism and equality that India put up for so many years is now over.
