GUJRANWALA: The reported suicide of housewife Sumera along with her minor son Ahmed and daughter Minahal by consuming poisonous substance at Pak Dhulley village took a new turn on Sunday when the parents of the deceased termed it a murder and alleged that all the three were forced to take poison.
They demanded Dhulley police register a murder case against husband Nadeem, his father Yousuf and mother Parveen Bibi. They also staged a protest demonstration at Alipur Chowk by placing the bodies on road.
Sources said the police have registered a case against the three accused, though no arrest was made till filing of this report.
PATIENT SHOT AT, INJURED IN HOSPITAL: One Bilal entered DHQ Hospital and fired point blank at a patient Arshad Bhullah. Security men, however, caught him and handed him over to Civil Lines police.
Police have registered a case and victim Arshad has been referred to a hospital in Lahore in a precarious condition. As a result of an enmity between two groups at Raskot in Dhulley police area, one person was killed and three others were injured.
