Night flight operation resumes at Bacha Khan International Airport

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Friday formally resumed the night flights operation from the Bacha Khan International Airport.

The chief minister saw off the 143 passengers on board PK255 from the airport to Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) said a handout.

Speaking on the occasion, he welcomed the resumption of the flights, adding that the night flights had been suspended from the airport after a terror attack sometime back.

Mahmood Khan hoped the resumption of the night flights would boost trade and commercial activities again in Peshawar.

He said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government was not oblivious to its stated stance to facilitate a change.

The chief minister said past rulers did nothing for the poor and when the constitutional institutions started asking them for their “wrongdoings”, they launched propaganda against institutions.

The chief minister said Prime Minister Imran Khan was persuading the friendly countries for employing our people.

“It was his firm advocacy that the friendly countries started giving relief to the Pakistanis,” he said

and maintained that the federal and provincial governments were aware of the hardships of the Pakistani expatriates.

Mahmood Khan said because of terrorism, the airport in Peshawar had stopped night flights but now the flights had been resumed as peace had returned to the province and the country.

Chief Minister Mahmood Khan gave credit to the PIA for launching its flights from Peshawar and hoped other airlines would start following the practice.

The chief minister said the prime minister was committed to changing system and would honour the promises made with the people.
