This refers to the editorial ‘Inflated bills’ (February 21). A majority of the people I came across had to borrow money from friends and relatives to pay their gas bills – an amount they can’t afford. The severe cold weather added insult to their miseries as they cannot reduce the consumption of gas. This time, the public will welcome and thank the government, if it takes a favourable U-turn and restores the old slabs mentioned in the editorial.
