DC visits THQ hospital
BUREWALA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Irfan Ali Kathia visited Tehsil Headquarters hospital Burewala and inspected the construction work underway on the third floor.
The DC ordered the completion of construction by March 1, 2019. He inspected renovation work at emergency ward and met patients of different wards and inquired after facilities being provided to them at the hospital.
He directed the Medical Superintendent THQ hospital Burewala to provide all available facilities free of cost to patients.
The DC asked the MS to focus on cleanliness in the hospital. Burewala Assistant Commissioner (AC) Hussnain Khalid Sanpal,
Medical Superintendent Dr Amjad Shakeel, Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr Muhammad Imran Bhatti, Executive Engineer (Buildings) Nisar Ahmed, SDO Muhammad Moosa and others were also present on the occasion.
City receives heavy rain: Heavy rain hit the city and its adjoining areas on Wednesday.
The rain inundated many localities and disrupted traffic flow in many areas.
The rain continued for three and a half hours and turned the weather chilly.
Power supply got disrupted in many urban and rural areas. According to agriculture experts, the rain would have a healthy impact on the wheat crop. The rain is not being taken as beneficial for maize and other crops.
