Education minister visits NCSW

Islamabad :Federal Minster Education & Professional Training Shafqat Mehmood along with Arshad Mirza, Federal Secretary visited National Council of Social Welfare (NCSW), says a press release.

NCSW Chairman Dr. Nadeem Shafiq Malik briefed about the activities of NCSW. On this occasion, federal minister said that state’s resources should be utilised properly for the welfare of the people without any wastage of the public money. Present government is taking practical steps to bring change in the lives of vulnerable people according to the vision of prime minter.

The top most priority of the Government is the effective utilization of resources for the welfare of common man. The initiatives like the establishment of shelter homes as taken by the Prime Minister of Pakistan are being praised at public level. All civil servants should perform their duties with honesty and efficiency for the welfare of the people in the public interest. Minister has directed to formulate a new welfare policy for special persons and this policy should be formulated with the consensus of all stakeholders.

On this occasion, Chairman, NCSW said that NCSW is highlighting the social issues vibrantly and taking practical steps with public private partnership to address the issues of general public. Awareness campaigns and welfare activities are being carried out for general public. Syed Umair Javaid, Joint Secretary and other officers of the Ministry were also present there.
