Pervaiz issues production orders for Aleem, Salman
LAHORE : Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has issued production orders of Abdul Aleem Khan and Khawaja Salman Rafique who are in NAB custody.
Khawaja Salman Rafique is N-League's MPA whereas Abdul Aleem Khan was senior provincial minister. The Speaker issued these orders under Rules of Procedure of the Punjab Assembly for the Punjab Assembly starting session on February 20, 2019.
Pervaiz Elahi in his written orders to the NAB Chairman has said that both the MPAs should be produced in the assembly chambers on February 20 (today) at 9am. Talking on this occasion, Ch Pervaiz Elahi said that as a Speaker it is my duty to struggle for stability of the Assembly for which I will continue making the all-out effort.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shaukat Basra also called on Punjab Assembly Speaker Pervaiz Elahi on Tuesday and exchanged views with him about prevailing political situation of the country.
