Five pitches being prepared for PSL matches at NSK

KARACHI: A square of five wickets has been prepared at National Stadium Karachi (NSK) for PSL matches, scheduled to be held from March 7-17.

Final touches are being given to the pitches these days, ‘The News’ has learnt. The chief curator Aga Zahid will visit the stadium in a couple of days to examine the preparation of the wickets, sources said. Meanwhile, the development work has been geared up and new chairs of different colours have been installed in various enclosures.

The minimum price of a ticket will be Rs500 for general enclosure. The tickets are priced at Rs1000 for first class category, and Rs2000 for premium gallery, which includes Waseem Akram enclosure, Imran Khan enclosure, and Zaheer Abbas enclosure.

The ticket for VIP category, consisting of Fazal Mehmood and Javed Miandad enclosures, is priced at Rs2500. The highest price is Rs3000, for Hanif Muhammad enclosure. The lowest price for the final will be Rs500 and the ticket holders will be allowed to sit in the general enclosures. The price for first class enclosure will be Rs2000, Rs4000 for premium gallery, and Rs7500 to Rs8000 for VIP categories.

The sources said that PCB has started online sale of the tickets for the first two matches. Open sale of tickets will be done through TCS offices. It is expected that open sale of the tickets would be started from February 25.
