PM, others greet Qadri on 68th birthday
LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri will turn 68 today (Tuesday). Various political and religious leaders have sent greeting messages to him on his birthday, says a PAT spokesman on Monday.
These leaders included Prime Minister Imran Khan, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Senator Sirajul Haq, AJK former PM Sardar Ateeq Ahmad Khan, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, KP Chief Minister Mehmood Khan, Punjab Governor Ch Sarwar, KP Governor Shah Farman, Federal Ministers Sheikh Rashid, Dr Noorul Haq Qadri, Fawad Chaudhry, Provincial Ministers Mian Mahmood-ur-Rashid, Ch Zaheer-ud-Din and Saeed-ul-Hasan Shah.
Dr Tahirul Qadri in his message to party workers said if they ensure provision of Quranic Encyclopedia in each and every household of country, then that would be the best gift for him on his birthday. All organisations of Minhaj-ul-Quran will celebrate birthday of Dr Tahirul Qadri by cutting cakes in different cities as well as in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada etc. Main ceremony will be held in Lahore where Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri will be chief guest. Since Dr Tahirul Qadri is founder as well as Chairman Board of Governors of Minhaj University, Lahore, its administration has decided to celebrate 19 February as Founder’s Day.
