50-year-old knocked dead by speedy vehicle
A 50-year-old unidentified man died in a road accident in Korangi on Saturday.
Police officials said the victim was crossing the road when a speedy vehicle hit him near Vita Chowrangi.
He was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medical treatment where he breathed his last.
The body was later moved to the Edhi morgue for identification. The police said the driver fled the scene following the incident. A case had been registered against an unknown person.
Man killed by train
A 30-year-old, Gauhar Abbas, died after being struck by a train.
Police officials said that Abbas was crushed by a train when he was crossing a track at the Landhi Railway Station.
The body was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities and later handed over to his family for burial.
