KARACHI: Pakistan’s cueists had mixed fortunes on the second day of the 3rd Asian Snooker Team Event 2015 in Kish Island, Iran.
According to the information made available by the Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) here on Friday, Pakistan A, comprising Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Sajjad, managed to edge out Iran B 3-2 but Pakistan B, featuring Hamza Akbar and Shahram Changezi, were downed 1-3 by Afghanistan.
Pakistan A, who had earlier smashed Iraq 3-0, had to bring all their reserve energy and solidity of technique at the table to outwit Iran B 3-2 with the frame scores of 69-0, 18-78, 108-0, 36-68, 64-34.
Pakistan B, having blasted Iran C and India A the other day, were brought down to earth by Afghanistan, who defeated them 3-1 with the scores of 88-8, 24-91, 102-1, 62-37.
