Inter-collegiate competitions end
Islamabad : Three-day inter-collegiate competitions were closed at Model College for Girls (Postgraduate), F-7/2, here on Thursday, says a press release.
On 3rd day in first session, Urdu debate and Computer Graphics competitions were held, where the participants of debates were given the topic ‘Aye Ishq tu Ney aksar Qaumon Ko Kha ke chora’ to speak in favour and against.
Dr. Humaira Ashfaq, Salma Asad, and Dr. Zulfiqar Ali kept the task of judgment. While in Computer Graphics, the theme was ‘Sustainable Future.’ The judges for the contest were Muhammad Azhar Hafeez and Laeeq Durrani.
The chief guest was TV anchor Syed Tuaseeq Haider who graced the event with his company along with other audiences including Principal Farkhanda Ishtiaq, faculty and students.
In Urdu debate competitions prizes were given to Maryam Maqbool (IMCG(PG), G-10/4), Kainat (Bahria College), Laiba Ashraf (IMCG(PG), F-7/2), as 1st, 2nd, 3rd respectively and a consolation prize to Sibgha Kashaf (IMCG, F-10/2)
The chief guest distributed prizes among the winners and congratulated them on their achievement.
In second session of singing competitions, in category I: Pakistani drama songs, Kianat Tariq (IMCG (PG), F-7/2), Aiman Lateef (IMCG, G-10/4), Farwa Fatima (OPF Girls College, F-8/4) won 1st, 2nd, 3rd and a consolation prizes respectively.
In category Naatia Qawali: Hadsa yad and group (IMCG F-7/2). Muqaddas and group (IMCG PG G-10/4). Kinza and group (IMCG, I-8/3), as 1st, 2nd, 3rd and consolation prize given to Safina and group (IMCG (PG), Humak).
Trophy went to IMCG (PG), F7/4, which surrendered for F-7/2.The chief guest Babar Ali Niazi, a renowned Music Artist distributed the prizes among the winners and appreciated their performances.
At the end chief guest speech, he appreciated and encouraged the participants and said that they performed well, while Khalid Mehmood played an awesome instrumental on banjo and gave a plausible performance too. At the end prizes distributed among the winner.
