The rupee marginally fell against the dollar on Monday due to growing dollars demand from importers, traders said. The rupee closed at 138.93 per dollar compared with Friday’s close of 138.40. “The currency came under pressure amid dollar buying from importers,” a trader said. In the open market, the rupee also continued its downward slide. It ended at 139.30 against the dollar compared with previous close of 139.
