Two men shot dead; woman’s body found

Two men, including a private security guard, were shot dead while the body was a woman was found in different areas of the city on Tuesday.
Tauseef Khan, 35, was shot dead in Bijli Nagar area, within the remit of Mominabad police station.
Mominabad SHO Mohammad Tufail said the deceased was a resident of the same area and worked as a ward boy in a private hospital. He said the deceased had been sitting outside his house on Tuesday morning when unidentified men shot at him and fled.
Khan was injured and rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he passed away during treatment. SHO Tufail said the deceased seemed to have been targeted.

Security guard killed
Armed men gunned down a security guard in North Karachi, within the remit of Sir Syed police station.
Raja, 26, was shot dead outside the Al-Mashiya Hospital in North Karachi. According to the police, he was a security guard at the hospital.
He had been at work on Tuesday night when two armed men arrived on a motorcycle and attempted to snatch his pistol. When Raja put up a resistance, the men opened fire at him and fled.
The deceased was injured and was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he passed away.
Body found
The body of an unidentified woman was found in Gulshan-e-Mehran within the remit of Malir Cantt police station.
SHO Ishrat Gabol said the police received information about the presence of a body in the bushes in Gulshan-e-Mehran and found it to be a woman’s. He said her identity could not be ascertained but the police believe that the deceased had been kidnapped before being killed and dumped in the bushes.
He said it also appeared that the deceased was subjected to brutal torture. She was strangulated to death and later her body was dumped in the area.
